The Nederland Independent School District announced March 15 that it would be closing all campuses as a precautionary measure due to concerns in regard to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The school district reports that it plans to resume classes on Monday, March 23. There will be no academic penalty for students or staff resulting from the closure, the district advised. Information regarding academic planning and support from the child nutrition department would be posted as available, according to the announcement. Extracurricular activities are also suspended.
