LU business professors close knowledge gaps with new book

The two-year journey of Lamar Uni­versity professors George Kenyon and Kabir C. “KC” Sen recently culminated in a new work designed to fill a signifi­cant gap in business knowledge.

Their new book, “The Per­ception of Quality: Map­ping Product and Service Quality to Consumer Per­ceptions” was published by Springer-Verlag, Ltd. of London in December 2014 and is avail­able as an eBook, as individual chapters or in hardback.

The Beaumont Convention & Visi­tors Bureau (CVB) hosted its 25th Annual Hall of Fame Reception on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at the Event Cen­tre in downtown Beaumont, where it recognized and honored the meeting planners who chose Beaumont as their host city for con­ferences, sporting events and reunions in 2014.

Best Year's Senior Center Senior Mardi Gras 2015

More than 1,200 people turned out for the Senior Mardi Gras party Thursday, Feb. 12, at the Beaumont Civic Center, said Lynn Huckaby, services coordina­tor for the Best Years Senior Center, a nonprofit that offers a multi-purpose facility providing recreational activities to active seniors ages 55 and older.
