Port Arthur Industrial Group brings STEM-based Science Museum to 1,800 elementary students

Through the support of the Port Arthur Industrial Group (PAIG), which includes Port Arthur refineries and petrochemical companies, along with the PAIG Community Advisory Group, the Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering (TAME) showcased the TAME Trailblazer at nine Port Arthur ISD schools from Jan. 29 to Feb. 9.

PayScale names LU a Best Value College for Engineering

Lamar University has been ranked as a best value school for students pursuing engineering as a major by PayScale’s 2017 College ROI report.

 

The annual College ROI report measures the return on tuition investment 20 years after graduation, and this year it ranked LU No. 2 out of more than 500 US colleges. PayScale.com is a website that compiles salary profiles to created the world’s largest pay database.

 

In the past, PayScale ranked Lamar University 11th nationwide for return on investment for engineering majors and 3rd among all public institutions.
