Tuesday, March 21, at Lamar Institute of Technology, the college celebrated the last beam put into place in its new Technical Arts building. Nearly 200 people attended, including elected officials, community, business and industry leaders, students, staff and faculty, and LIT Foundation members. Attendees were treated to lunch.
Recently, two employees were recognized for embracing the practice of giving back to the community. At the Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce banquet, Butch Campbell was honored as Citizen of the Year, while Charlotte Chiasson received the same honor at the 57th annual Bridge City Chamber of Commerce banquet.
