New president/CEO at the BBB of SETX
Elizabeth “Liz” Fredrichs was confirmed by the Board of Directors of Better Business Bureau Serving Southeast Texas to serve as its next president/CEO beginning April 10.
She will succeed interim CEO Nancy McMillan, who is retiring from the BBB after 22 years of service.
Fredrichs was selected following a three-month nationwide search and interview process by a special committee of the BBB Board. She will be coming to southeast Texas from the Better Business Bureau Serving Wisconsin, where she has served as the executive vice president.
Fredrichs’ resume includes over 25 years of executive leadership with experience in strategic planning, budgeting, marketing, entrepreneurship, and sales for both the private and nonprofit sector. She served as an advisory board member of the SE WI Score chapter, the membership committee for TEMPO Milwaukee, and on the board of directors of the WI BBB. She received her B.A in communications from Alverno College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
McMillan will be leaving BBB after a successful 22-year career to spend time with her family. Fredrichs will join McMillan for several weeks as part of a planned transition strategy.
The Board of Directors is enthusiastic about Elizabeth Fredrichs becoming our incoming president/CEO,” said BBB Chair Leslie Harrison. “With her nearly 15 years’ experience with BBB, she will be a tremendous addition to our mission and regional operation.”
